Preschool Letter J Activities for LOTW
We started the week off working on practical living skills. For lunch Little B made himself a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich, and poured himself some Juice.
Little B was so proud of himself and really enjoyed his sandwich.
Yummy! Juice
He loves his Do a Dot Markers
Sensory play with shaving cream and Jewels
Searching for Jewels
This was a huge hit, after playing with the shaving cream and jewels for 20 minutes he decided he wanted to take the whole tray into the bath for more messy play. Sensory play is so much fun!
On Wednesday we worked on putting the Big letters with the lowercase letters. You can also find all of the J eggs. Little B loves Easter eggs.
Jellybean Color Math
Count the numbers of jellybeans and find the same color.
More sensory play, Easter Eggs, jelly beans, and Jewels.
We worked on the easel writing letter J. First he wrote it with his finger, then he wrote it over with the chalk.
Decorating letter J with jellybeans
Jewelry boxes (random boxes).
I filled each box with a piece of play Jewelry, and he was to open each box and find the jewelry. Kids love to open and close things so this was a great activity. Not to mention it’s working on his fine motor skills.
I used a box with a latch closure, a magnetic closure, a small crank, and a small wooden flip top box.
We are having a lot of fun with the Letter of the Week theme this year and I think Little B is enjoying it too. I hope you have seen some fun ways that you can explore the alphabet with your little one. You can check out the rest of the alphabet here.
