Build Your Own Video Games with Bloxels
This is like every child (that’s 7-14 years old) dream these days. To build your own video game that actually works. Bloxels’ kid-friendly video game design is an excellent way to combine writing, art, animation, design, and logic into one program. Hands on homeschooling at its best! We love it and I think your children will too.
Bloxels – Build Your Own Video Games
Bloxels is a hands-on, brains-on, design experience where your child will place the blocks, click, and play their own video game. It’s awesome! It took us about 5 minutes to set everything up and get started, which was great since Bells joined in on it.
My son couldn’t wait to open this box. He had been eyeing it for days and patiently waiting for mom to say we could open it up. He’s been using it everyday since. Building boards, designing characters, and more.
I’m really happy that he enjoys it so much. Since he usually plays games on his computer I wasn’t sure if this would give him the same excitement and gratification that he’s used to. After seeing him use it for over two months now I’m happy to say it’s even better than we imagined. He’s actually using his hands to create something in the colors that he wants. Characters that he wants and whole backgrounds that continue to get larger and larger the more he builds.
This Bloxels Set Contains:
1 Gameboard
320 Colored Blocks
Bloxels Guidebook
Free Bloxels app
All of this and a mind filled with imagination will lead to a fully functional video game.
There are patterns to get you started if you need a little push to see how everything works or if you like to follow along with pictures. After your done with your build take a picture and add it to your personal online video game. Your child is creating their very own pixelated art (That’s so cool). You can also include textual information which adds dialogue for a storytelling aspect to the game.
It can be played on:
Apple phones and tablets
Android phones and tablets
Google, Samsung, Kindle and more.
I was able to catch my son one afternoon just playing away and having so much fun with his Bloxels. I’m always excited to see the game as he adds more boards and characters to his unique game.
Bloxels also won a Popular Science: Best of Toy Fair Award
Don’t you love the idea of giving your children educational toys that they love to use? I know I do.
