Oh I’ve been there. The sleepless nights with your mind racing, because there are a million things you need to do. Something you are worried about, or just can’t get out of your head. The cries every two hours for milky or a child that has a normal wake up time of 4 am but sometimes is wide awake at 2. Some days you just long for a good night sleep.

This is the one thing that changed our lives and made us happier parents.

To The Exhausted Mom That Never Gets A Good Night Sleep

Today I’m going to share the one miracle tip that changed our lives. I know it sounds way to dramatic but whatever you do keep reading.

I’m not trying to get you to sign up for anything.

There is no scheme going on… just Great Advice and What Worked For Us.

You see I’ve been a mom a long time (22 1/2 years to be exact) and I never had any children with sleep issues until I had Little B.

I mean you’re always going to have the sleepless nights with a newborn or teething toddler. It’s best to realize that up front and try to enjoy it because it’s totally normal.

And throughout the years of childhood I’m sure you’ll have sometime when your child wakes you up early or in the middle of the night and the next day you feel like your body is dragging from one thing to the next.

But that’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking to all of the mommies out there with kids that just don’t sleep. Children that wake up at 2 am like it’s morning and are ready to play. Children that do laps around the couch like they are running a marathon.

Children that have never taken naps… like Ever!

Children that are on go mode 24/7.

You know who you are momma and I’m here to help.

The Miracle Tip That Changed Our Lives

To start off you should definitely have a night time routine established. This isn’t the miracle tip I’m just sharing how important a routine is.

Yours might look like:

Dinner

Family time (quiet play, games, talking)

Bath

Book

Bed

Do whatever works for your family but stick to it every night.

I read books, I researched, I tried a variety of things people recommended and nothing changed. Then I decided to give essential oils a try.

Get yourself a Diffuser. You can go with any diffuser you like, but I’ll be honest I’ve tried out the expensive hundred dollar models and I still go back to this one.

Invest in a couple of AMAZING ESSENTIAL OILS – We love to diffuse lavender in the evening. Now we have a diffuser in each of the bedrooms and one in the main area of the house.

So what made a HUGE difference in our sleep was learning a little about essential oils and using them carefully.

In the evening I pump a little  Carrier Oil into the palm of my hand or a small glass bowl, add a couple of drops of organic lavender oil and rub it on the bottom of the children’s feet. I also put a small dab on the back of their neck.

That first night that I used the essential oils our usual 2 hours of sleep increments went to 5 Hours of Sleep straight.

I felt like a new woman.

2 years later we use essential oils for a variety of things and I love it. We are healthy, happy, and usually well rested 😉

*Please learn about oils for proper use before trying them out.
