So when I heard there was a new movie coming out I knew we needed to come up with something fun to celebrate it. These Despicable Me Minions Twinkie Treats are AMAZING! Don’t be surprised if your kids want to play with their food first. Can you blame them? These yummy treats are almost too fun to eat.

Despicable Me Minions Twinkie Treats

What you will need to make these Despicable Me Minions Twinkie Treats is in this picture below. I have what’s needed with the full recipe displayed in list form towards the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

Twinkie Minions

Melt the chocolate in a bowl in the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between time, until melted. Dip each Twinkie into the chocolate, coating about half of it.

Put a little bit of the melted chocolate into a plastic baggie and cut a tiny tip to pipe two little suspenders on each one. Place a sprinkle ball on each suspender where it meets the top of the blue pants.

Cut the marshmallows in half, and roll each one in the silver dust making sure to coat evenly on the sides and front edges. Place an eye on each marshmallow. If the eye won’t stick, you can put a dot of the chocolate on it to hold it in place.

Cut the rope licorice into about ½ inch to 1 inch pieces. Poke a few holes with a toothpick on top of the Twinkie and push a couple pieces of licorice into the holes. Now your Minions have hair.

Place a dot of chocolate on the back of the eyes and place onto the Twinkie, and use the black gel to pipe a tiny mouth and goggle straps on the side of the head.

Let these set to harden for a little bit before eating.

Silver Edible Luster Dust
