Geography has been a huge part of our homeschooling for the past few years. The boys became so excited about learning all of their states, capitals, and important facts a couple of years ago and their love for it has just grown. It’s amazing how much there is to learn about USA Geography. Not only that, but all of the amazing things to learn and explore in the world.
To start our day we put out the large U.S.A map. We talked about places we have visited, places their friends live, and famous landmarks around the U.S. The boys use their USA and World maps every day.
The sketchbook is a huge hit. We get a USA Little Passports Edition each month, so they are always busy learning about new things, and they love it. There are so many fun activities to do.
I think hands-on learning is so important. When the children can use all of their senses, they take in so much more and remember what they learned. We try to incorporate hands on activities as much as we can.
The field guide that Little Passports provides is awesome. It’s packed full of lessons and activities on state learning. They can put pictures of themselves, answer questions about where they live, where they have visited, learn landmarks, state capitals, and more.
As you can see they love our US geography with Little Passports. Traveling the world with Sam and Sophia has been wonderful. The kids look forward to it every month and ask all of the time where their next adventure will be.
Pictures the Boys took with their Little Passports camera. These were taken on our beach outing five minutes from home.
