Working with Color Part 1

Share Button
Working with colors can be so much fun. On Monday I took out the art case and laid it on the table with some blank paper, just to see who would take an interest in it and what they would use. It was nice seeing them create beautiful pictures.

On Tuesday we read the book Mouse Paint and decided to explore color mixing.
I surprised the kids by snapping a few photos.

We used the primary colors of Red, Blue, and Yellow to do the mixing. Just like the book Mouse Paint.
I love how my older boys suggested this rainbow pattern left on the table reminded them of the Northern lights in Alaska (we’ve never been), I’m always impressed when they bring up things that they have learned about.

A hand print left on the table, showing signs of a great day of delightful learning.
This week we are also using the Mouse Paint learning pack from Homeschool share.

I’d love to hear how you are exploring color with your children.
