Valentine Crafts for Kids
Shaving Cream Art Marbled Hearts
Although this project can get a little messy, it’s so worth making because the marbled hearts are gorgeous. Give them to friends or use them to add some Valentine’s Day flair to your home or classroom.
Make heart stamps with a few basic craft supplies. Then, kids can use their stamps to make DIY Valentine’s Day cards or even decorate some craft paper to use as gift wrap. There are so many fun and creative ways to play with these stamps!
Here’s a fun fine motor activity for your kindergartener that doubles as both a Valentine’s Day craft and a beginner sewing activity. Kids can use their fingers to thread the yarn through or a large, child-safe needle. Sewing doesn’t have to be difficult; simple projects like this are a fantastic way to get started developing this skill.
Valentine’s Day is a day to show love to all creatures. Food can be scarce for birds in the winter, so why not make some heart-shaped feeders help see them through? We made these feeders with Froot Loops cereal, but you can use any ‘O’ shaped cereal you prefer.

This slime is soft, stretchy, and squishy. Working with slime is fun and helps children work their hand muscles. It’s also a terrific stress reliever. This makes a super cute party favor, too. Put slime in small jars and attach one of our cute cards.
Here’s another recipe for Valentine’s Day play dough that’s safe and edible. Plus, it’s a no-cook recipe, which any busy parent can appreciate. Just mix the ingredients, pop it in the microwave, and work the dough until it’s not sticky. Make sure it’s completely cool before letting the kids play with it.
