Hi Kimberly,
It’s my first time on your blog. Travel adventures are so much better without debt! Knowing you have a ton of money to pay back must put a damper on things.
I make sure we can fund our trips by seriously asking myself if I really need to by an item I think I might need. Most times, the answer is no. So there’s already a bunch saved there. And I keep boxes of items we haven’t used in a while, if they have been out of use for 3 or 6 months they go into our garage sale.
Looking at your beautiful pictures makes me so excited about our trip to Cape Town, South Africa in April!

I agree 🙂 Maybe you misread the article. This isn’t like a credit card, the thing I love about it is you pay for it before you go by making payments 😉 It’s a great way to actually be able to save for it and go.
Ah, I see now! That sounds like a fabulous idea. I’ll have to do some research to see if we have those kinds of options here in SA. Like you say, making payments to save and actually makes a whole lot of sense!
We love vacations and are working so hard to be able to travel more as a family. Loved hearing about your memories.
Great tips! I really miss traveling since having kids.
This sounds like a great option for traveling when you have a budget.
