Whether you are a young family just starting your traditions or you are looking for a new holiday tradition to start. I think you’ll love this idea. This is one of my favorite Countdown to Christmas ideas. What could be better than a Book Advent Calendar for Christmas? I mean other than a delicious piece of chocolate of course 😉
Book Advent Calendar
The Best Book Advent Calendar for Christmas
I’m so excited to have our advent calendar done and ready. Now I can continue to prepare other fun activities for our winter holidays and homeschooling. Don’t think for a second that you can’t do this if you are just starting…
I’m usually in the last minute rush for things like this and wrapping the night before I need it. So this is awesome for me. Ready to get started?
What you will need for a great book advent calendar
Collect Books (24 or 25 books – the countdown depends on if you end it Christmas Eve or Christmas day)
A great selection of Favorite Christmas books can be found here.
I know 24/25 books is a lot to buy all at once so here are a few suggestions.
Some ideas for saving money are to collect them throughout the year, buy from thrift stores, used bookstores and yard sales. You can also wrap holiday books that you’ve had put away for the past year. It’s still exciting to read the books, again and again, every year.
I suggest wrapping each book and stacking them. Half of the excitement is getting to unwrap the book. The other half is reading the book 🙂
