Don’t you love homemade play dough?! We do, too. Here, you will find amazing-smelling play dough, edible play dough, frozen play dough, and, of course, completely natural play dough. This winter, we are sharing something special: handmade Christmas cranberry play dough ornaments by kids! Doesn’t that sound awesome? We LOVE how they turned out; the kids can’t wait to do it again.
Easy Cranberry Play Dough Ornaments Kids Can Make Themselves
This started as a fun sensory experience with homemade cranberry play dough. You’ll need to check out how great it is and grab the recipe because the kids can make these lovely ornaments after they play with the play dough.
After the play dough is made, let your child choose any cookie cutter to cut out shapes. They can also add fresh cranberries and extra glitter if they want.
Use a toothpick to make a small hole for the ribbon to go through.
Don’t add the ribbon yet. These ornaments will be baked at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes (depending on how hot your oven is).
You don’t want these to harden so much that they crack, so take them out when they are slightly hard.
The key is you want them to stay beautiful.
The kids picked out Natural Raffia, but you could easily use ribbon, twine, or whatever else you choose.
I hope you love the cranberry play dough ornaments as much as we do and you and your kids get to enjoy the sweet sensory experience with your very own cranberry play dough. You can check out our other great homemade ideas right here.
