Creative Engineering with Marble Play – STEM for Toddlers and Preschoolers

ally cool add-on. Have you ever used marble tracks for creative engineering with kids? It is so much fun! I believe children should get a lot of time every day to play. It really gives the children time to use their imagination and get creative. Plus at this age, children learn so much by playing. This week I am trying to incorporate open-ended toys that involve STEM learning. Anything STEM is awesome for kids!

Preschool STEM Activities – Preschool Block Play

We have been enjoying a lot of building and creative engineering lately. You can see how we started our week with rainbow building and have moved on to this exciting marble play. We are using the HABA USA  Ball Track Starter Set. I plan on adding to this set within the next year because they have some really cool add on sets. I’m sure the kids will love. A launch tower, funnel set, basketball hoop, and musical stairs are just a few great ideas. I love open-ended eco-friendly toys like this that will last forever.

 The engineering challenge with marble tracks is to construct the blocks and ramps to get that marble moving. So many possibilities! So many ways to play!
