First, cut out an egg shape and a carrot shape from cardboard. I made mine about 6-inches long, but you can make any size you want. Make sure to leave a little carrot top on that cutout so you can wrap green around it.
Cut 2 little chicken feet out of the orange paper. Fold another small piece of orange paper in half and cut a triangle shape so it opens and closes like a beak.

Rub a couple of swipes of glue on one side of the cardboard pieces. Have your child take the yellow yarn and stick the starting end to the glue then start wrapping it around the cardboard. You can go in all different directions, just make sure to keep the yarn tight as you wrap it around. Once your child is done, tuck the end under a few wrapped pieces so it stays put.
Repeat the same step using the carrot cutout. You can use the orange yarn for the carrot part and the green yarn to wrap around the carrot top.
