As a mom I am always trying to come up with food that my children will eat and enjoy. I also try to include them as much as possible because they love to help. I have found that letting them create their own dishes sometimes is the best way to get them eating healthy. Today I am going to share one of my kids favorites all through the year. Think the perfect appetizer on Thanksgiving, fun food for half time during football Sundays, or just something special for your family dinner time.

Think about it, each person can create their own salad person or animal using so many different ingredients.
For this set-up I included:
different colored peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, avocado, red onion, shredded cheese, and dried cranberries. We used Ranch dressing for the face because my kids love Ranch.
You can add sooooo many things to this for instance, different types of lettuce, cauliflower, beans, chickpeas, ground meat/turkey, hard boiled egg, string cheese, and more. Be creative and your kids will love it.
Get your kids involved. Let them cut and chop their own fruits and veggies. They learn wonderful practical life skills plus they are working those important muscles to help with fine motor development.
Little Miss enjoyed eating while she worked. I can’t blame her, I do the same thing.
