Hands on Toddler and Preschool Math

If you have a toddler or preschooler than you know they are very curious right now. They are probably asking you a lot of questions and are full of excitement at this age. This is exactly the reason why we love hands on learning. Plus, in my life as a mom and teacher children remember a lot more when they have the chance to apply what they are learning. That is why when I saw the Farmland Math Mat  from Timberdoodle I was really excited to try it out. Preschool Math is so much fun!

Farmland Math is a curriculum for introducing toddlers and preschoolers to the wonders of math and thinking skills! It comes with a 36 week curriculum guide filled with fun stories of Farmer John and his animals. Bells is already fond of Farmer John and has her favorite blue horse that she always makes sure to include.

 Farmland Math includes grouping by color, counting, and patterns, plus rudimentary addition and subtraction skills. Your child will develop the skills gradually with fun stories and play. This is really the best way to learn math. You can also pair the Farmland Math with Mathematical Reasoning Beginning 1. Bells loves the stories and activities that go along with the animals and mat. Since we got the curriculum she asks daily to use it, which is exactly what every mom wants 🙂 Right?! I know I love it when I see them having fun while learning.

 

Timberdoodle has always been one of our favorite places to get curriculum and educational games for our children. This year I am hoping for full elite curriculum kits for our kids. I would definitely check out the website and request a new catalog if I was you. You can really see how much fun learning can be.
