How to Decorate Easter Eggs with Skittles
Supplies Needed:
- Hardboiled Eggs
- Skittles (Original & Wild Berry)
- Vinegar
- Hot Water
- Plastic Cups
Start by placing 25-30 skittles of one color in a cup. Let the kids separate out the colors! It’s a good activity for them to do!
Once that is done, add one hardboiled egg into each cup.
Next, add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and as much hot water as needed to cover the
egg. The vinegar and water will start to change color super fast.
Let them sit for a few minutes then mix with a spoon.
Repeat steps 1-4 with other skittle colors as well.
Easter Science Experiment
Let the eggs sit in the cups for 15 minutes, then take them out and set them on paper
towels to dry.
You can reuse the skittle water for 1-2 more uses.
Store in the fridge then enjoy on Easter! The kids will love having Easter Eggs that were dyed using Skittles. (and there will probably be a few leftovers for them to snack on as well!)
