This month as part of the 12 months of Montessori learning we are sharing Montessori math ideas and lessons. This series has been so great for everyone and I hope you continue to join us each month. It’s almost fall here which is such a lovely time of the year and the perfect time to collect natural materials to use. So we did what we love and we took our learning outside.
DIY Natural Fall Montessori Math
12 Months of Montessori Learning
Maria Montessori believed that in order to understand mathematics, education needs to connect the hand and the mind. I totally agree.
The fall is such a great time to take your learning outside. You can incorporate acorns, leaves, pinecones, rocks, or anything else you find. By incorporating a love for indoor and outdoor learning this will start to come naturally for you. If it doesn’t already. Start collecting natural materials while you are on a nature walk. They are perfect to use for a nature table, math manipulatives, and of course loose parts.
You can download this free pumpkin printable below. Make sure you click over to our apple counters too. It’s always fun to switch up materials occasionally and they are free. Yay!!
