I also have a second grader, kindergartener and toddler (plus a newborn). I love to do unit studies too. It just seems like the natural way to learn. What part of the country is the beach you live on? I used to live in Hawaii and sure miss it!

It will be fun to read more as time goes on. I was looking for where you live, like what island, lol, and then I realized that you are sharing your dreams. How fun!! I have lived on islands and peninsulas but not for years now. Only growing up. Now I am surrounded by land, lol, mountains, woods, and the nearest water are rivers and water falls. Happy homeschooling. You should buy Lori Hatcher’s devotional, Joy in the Journey…I am reading it and wish I had it when I was homeschooling (she hadn’t written it) as it will carry you through the good days and the not-so-good.
