This bee art project is calling your name. And the best part? The kids will love being able to make this entirely on their own. Squish Painting is easy enough for toddlers and cool enough for your tweens. Everyone loves making these adorable insect crafts.
While you’re going to be needed to help set up, your kids can easily take over and create without worry. Then, when they’re done, display the ladybugs and bees for everyone to see.
Showing off your child’s artwork is always special.

Let’s get crafting…

Easy Art for Kids with Squish Painting
Start by downloading the template and print it out. Once that is done, go ahead and cut the template out as well.
Next, take and cut a piece of white paper into 4 pieces. Then, fold those 4 pieces in half.
Have your child paint one half of the paper with yellow and black paint. See the photo to see an example.

Fold the paper over and allow the paint to squish (imprint) onto the other side. (The kids will love doing this part!)
Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Then, trace the template of the body onto the painted paper and cut it out. Follow that up by tracing the template of the wings onto white paper and cutting them out as well. Then, go ahead and trace the template of the head onto black paper and cut it out as well.

Once done, take and glue the pieces together onto blue paper.
Cut a small stinger from black paper and glue onto the bee. (So cute, right?!)
Then, take and glue the googly eyes onto the head as well.

Use a red paint pen to add a smile and some bright red lips!
Then, use a black marker to add antennae.

At the very end, take and glue a larger black paper onto the back of the blue paper. (Feel free to use any color paper that you want)
Enjoy!
