How to Make Sand Slime – Perfect Summer Theme Activity
If you can’t get to the beach this year, or if you want to bring the beach back home with you, make a batch of homemade sand slime with your kids. It’s so much fun! Add in shells, crabs, polished rocks, and driftwood for the perfect DIY Sand Slime experience.

How to Make Sand Slime
In a large mixing bowl, combine a 1/2 cup of glue with 1/2 cup of hot water and mix well.
Mix in your sand.
Mix a 1/2 teaspoon of borax into your remaining 1 cup of hot water and stir, letting the borax dissolve
Now pour the borax water into your glue mixture and stir the ingredients should start coming together quickly to form your sand slime.
Pour out the excess water, remove the slime from the bowl and knead the slime in your hands for a couple of minutes.
Sand Slime with Borax
This sand slime feels so cool. It’s stretchy, squishy, and so much fun. Plus, it is a textured slime that kids love playing with.

1/2 cup Elmer’s craft glue
1/2 teaspoon borax
1 1/2 cups hot water, divided
1/4 cup sand
