This Science idea is the perfect animal activity to add to your themed learning.
It is always better to include hands on activities when you are teaching or sharing Science with kids.
Use the vocabulary cards to explain what each word means. Add a bowl or basket of animals (we use the Safari Toob animals for activities) and sort and classify each animal into omnivore, herbivore or carnivore.
If you want to expand on this activity even more, you can have samples of the types of food for the children to touch, taste, and see.
