What I love most about this game is that it’s one of my favorite feelings and emotions activities for preschoolers that I’ve found. It combines a super fun snowman activity with learning, and the kids actually seem to enjoy it as well.

We even take it up a notch and once we have a match, we act out that emotion as well. From happy to silly, you’ll really see some great acting skills for your child with the use of these printable emotion cards.

This is one game that we tend to play a lot for family game night or when we find that we’re having big emotions and can’t quite find the words to communicate our thoughts and feelings right away. After a few rounds of this memory game, the words start flowing and the lines of communication and questions start happening.

Plus, it gives your child a chance to understand how an emotion actually appears on someone’s face as well. That’s a big skill to learn as they get older and being able to gauge people’s emotions and reactions are important!

If you’re wanting to keep this snowman activity nice, I highly recommend laminating the emotion cards as well. That way they won’t get too bent up to play and you can easily pack them up and take them with you when you’re out and about or on the go.

Laminating them also makes them a lot more sturdy for those little hands that sometimes have a habit of grabbing and ripping items, even when it’s just an accident.
