How Do You Paint with Salt and Glue
What you will need to make your Raised Salt Painting is in this picture below. However, I have it displayed in list form to print out towards the bottom of the page. Have fun!
Start by drawing a picture of a turkey on the piece of construction paper.
Next, have your child squeeze the glue on all of the lines of the turkey picture you drew.
Now sprinkle a good coat of salt over all the glue making sure it’s well coated. Then shake off the excess. It’s hard to see the salt on the white background, but just make sure your glue is covered with salt 🙂
Wet your paintbrush with water and dip it into the paint. Then lightly brush your colors onto the salt. You can also gently tap it on as well.
We use a paintbrush here, but you can also use a dropper which is great for your child too.
This is an all-time favorite kids art activity, and I’m sure it will keep on being a favorite in this house for many years.
