Keyword: DIY Dinosaur Excavation Activity
What’s Needed
  • 1 ¼ cup White Non-Sanding Grout - You can use lifecasting powder as a healthier alternative or Plaster of Paris if you prefer it over grout powder.
  • ¾ cup Water
  • Plastic Wrap
  • 5-6 Small Dinosaurs and Reptiles
  • Small Plastic Container approx. 5”x 5”
  • Tools for excavation—small hammer paintbrush, screwdriver, chisel, etc.
  1. Line the container with a piece of plastic wrap making sure the edges hang over the container.
  2. Mix the water into the grout and stir until well combined. Pour half the mixture into the container.
  3. Lay the plastic dinosaurs and reptiles into the grout mixture and pour the rest of the grout mixture into the container so that the plastic toys are completely covered.
  4. Let this harden for at least 24 hours or until completely dry.
  5. Pop it out of the container and remove the plastic wrap.
Recipe Notes

Use the tools to chip away the grout and excavate the dinosaurs and reptiles. Have fun!
