Basic Slime Recipe with Saline Solution
Ingredients
  • 5 oz. Elmer's white glue
  • 1/2 cup Warm water
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Saline solution
  • Optional: Food coloring
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, pour out 5 oz of Elmer's white glue.
  2. Add ½ cup of water and stir until the glue and water are fully mixed together.
  3. If you would like to color your slime, add a few drops of food coloring.  You can also use paint, soap colorants or pigments.
  4. Add ½ tsp baking soda and stir. This will help determine your slime’s thickness.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of saline solution. Stir quickly. The slime will begin to form and pull away from the sides of the bowl. The saline solution will determine your slime’s stickiness.
  6. Once the slime has pulled away from the sides of the bowl, knead it for a few minutes. It will still be sticky at first. Add a little more Saline  1 Tbsp. at a time, if you need it.
  7. Store in an airtight container. If desired, print out a label and run through a sticker maker. Attach to the front of the container.
  8. reminder: your contact lens solution should contain boric acid or your slime will not form
