Put Me in the Zoo Paper Plate Craft
Add the book Put Me in The Zoo with this cute Dr. Seuss craft to your preschool color lessons and your children will be so happy. It’s a super simple paper plate craft for preschoolers and kids of all ages.
Ingredients
  • White Paper Plate
  • Yellow Tissue Paper
  • Small Pom Poms (Orange, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, and Black)
  • Black Pipe Cleaner
  • Large Googly Eyes
  • Elmer’s Glue
  • Pencil and Scissors
Instructions
  1. Cut about a 2-inch piece off the pipe cleaner. Take the remaining pipe cleaner and bend into a smile. Glue on the 2 eyes and black pom (nose), then glue on the 2-inch piece right under the nose. Next glue on the mouth/smile, making sure it’s centered between the 2-inch piece.
  2. Cut 1-inch squares out of the yellow tissue paper. Take the pencil and place the eraser end in the middle of a square. Twist the paper up around the pencil and dip it in a tiny bit of glue. Place it on the paper plate and slowly lift out the pencil. Repeat step until the paper plate is filled.
  3. Instead of using the pencil for the tissue paper another option is to have your children scrunch up the little piece of tissue paper with their hands and dab some glue on it and press it on to the plate.

  4. Glue poms on all over the face. Let dry!
  5. Have fun making this cute Dr. Seuss craft.
