Instructions
  1. First, paint both ends of each spool. Make sure to paint the underside of the ends too so you can only see red once your paper is rolled on. Let them dry.
  2. Cut 4 strips from the white paper. I made each of mine 1 ½” x 8”. Just make sure the width of the strips is the same width of your spools so it fits snug when it is rolled on.
  3. At about the bottom third of each strip, Have your child write about 6 items that would be on their Christmas list - or you can write what is on a child’s Christmas list.
  4. Start with the top part of the white strip, that has no writing, and roll up on the spool tightly. Once you get it rolled around to where the list of items starts, put a bit of hot glue or Elmer's glue under it and press it down to hold. The list will hang down from the spool.
  5. Cut a piece of the twine, string it through the middle of each spool, and tie in a knot to create a hanger to hang on the Christmas tree.
  6. Easy and fun holiday craft with kids - Keepsake Christmas Ornaments - Enjoy them year after year
