Sensory Putty
Is it Putty or Puddy
The terms “putty” and “puddy” often cause confusion, but there is a clear distinction between the two. “Putty” is the correct and widely accepted spelling for the versatile, moldable substance used in various applications, from household repairs to children’s play materials. Putty is typically made from a combination of materials that give it a pliable, dough-like consistency, allowing it to be shaped, stretched, and manipulated easily.
On the other hand, “puddy” is a common misspelling of “putty.” While some people might use “puddy” informally, it is not the standard spelling and is generally not used in formal writing or product labeling.
So, when referring to the malleable substance used for crafting, repairs, or therapeutic activities, “putty” is the correct term to use. Whether you’re making homemade putty for kids or using it for DIY projects, stick with the proper spelling for clear communication and understanding.
