The Best Apple Activities For Preschoolers and Kindergartners
The past couple of weeks have been so much fun. Just the thought of apple picking and fall has everyone excited in our house. That is why I knew I needed to start our homeschooling year off with an apple theme.
Fall Apple Week ~ FIAR
Apple picking is always a favorite activity.
This life cycle of an apple tree was a great hands on learning activity. You can read all about how apples grow and then let your child create it on paper.
We used paint for the apple and the flower buds, but you could also use tissue paper or little pom pom balls.
The apple taste test was a lot of fun. The kids loved all of the different types of apples that we had. (we picked good ones)
Listening to them describe the apples gave us a chance to talk about descriptive words and senses.

Homemade Honey Butter… Yes Please!
We actually made homemade butter 3 times in two weeks because everyone loved making it and eating it.
This Butter Maker is so worth it. It’s easy to use and easy to clean.
The kids really enjoyed making Homemade Apple Pie Filling and several yummy apple recipes.
As you can see the apples were a big hit.
The Story Sequencing Cards go perfect with the book How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World.
Story Sequencing is an important pre-reading skill.
