Fine Motor Christmas Tree Color Sort
First cut a large Christmas tree out of green foam sheet.
Color 10-12 Velcro circles with different colored markers. Make sure to color 1-2 of each color.
Stick the colored Velcro circles all over the tree like they are ornaments.
Next, stick one Velcro circle on each colored pom pom. If some of the Velcro circles don’t stick well, you can hot glue them on.
Kids will match the pom poms to the same color Velcro circle on the tree.
This is such a fun fine motor activity for toddlers and preschoolers. It’s so easy to make, and the kids love it.

What’s Needed
- Green Foam Sheet
- 1 pkg. Self-Stick Round Velcro Tabs, small and clear
- 6 Permanent Markers, assort. colors
- 10-12 Small Pom Poms, colors need to match the marker colors
Directions
1. Cut a large Christmas tree out of the foam.
2. Color 10-12 of the Velcro circles with the markers. Make sure to color 1-2 of each color.
3. Stick the colored Velcro circles all over the tree.
4. Stick one Velcro circle on each pom.
5. Note: if some of the Velcro circles don’t stick well, you can hot glue them on.
6. Match the pom poms to the same color Velcro circle on the tree.
