How to Make Playdough
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 Tablespoons cream of tartar
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup of water
- Your favorite prehistoric food colors (I used AmeriColor chocolate brown, slate, and turquoise)
- Jurassic World playset or Dinosaur toys
- Toy trees
- Pebbles
- Pretend Eggs

Start by adding the flour, salt, and cream of tartar to a large mixing bowl. Whisk it to combine. Set aside.

Pour the water and vegetable oil into a large saucepan and stir it well. Add the flour mixture and whisk until there are no lumps remaining.

Place the pan on the stove and stir continuously over medium heat until a thick ball of dough is formed.

Remove your dough from the heat and allow the dough to cool for 5 minutes and divide it into 3 even pieces. Add a few drops of food coloring to each piece.

Knead each piece of dough to soften and distribute the color. You may find it easier for your kids to use a sealed plastic bag when kneading to eliminate any mess from the coloring.
