Easter Egg Sewing Craft

Spring is in the air, and Easter is just around the corner! What better way to celebrate this spring season than with a delightful and creative felt sewing craft?
We’re excited to introduce a charming Easter egg sewing craft that is perfect for both beginners and adult crafters.
Whether you’re looking for a first sewing activity for kids, or to create unique gifts, this step-by-step guide will help you stitch up some adorable Easter egg treat bags. So, gather your needles, thread, and felt or fabric scraps, and let’s hop into this egg-citing sewing adventure!
Easter Craft
Draw some large and small egg shapes on the different colors of felt. You can make these any size you would like. If you have an older child doing this Easter craft, they can draw or trace egg shapes.
Then, you will want to cut the eggs out.
Now, draw half egg shapes the same size as the other eggs you drew on the felt, but make the tops jagged like the top of a cracked egg.
Cut these out and lay one jagged half egg on top of a whole egg you cut out earlier.
Easter Egg Pouches
Thread your needle with a piece of embroidery thread and tie a knot at the end. Sew the top piece to the bottom piece by sewing along the outer edges of the egg. Do not sew the top jagged edge to the back piece (just sew on itself); this will be your opening for your candy or toy.
Now that the eggs are sewn together you should have a little pouch to put a piece of candy or a toy in it! As you can see, you can make these as small or as large as you want to.
Of course, adults can make these for their kids, too. These make a fun handmade gift idea.
