As a Harry Potter obsessed family, we knew we needed to step up our family movie night with Fantastic Beasts Activities. We started looking for ways we could take our movie experiences to the next level, and what we found was that by finding activities or things to go with the movie, we were able to make the experience so much better!

If you are having a Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts Themed party have these on a table for all of your guests to fill out. Have a Fantastic Beasts Themed Night

For years, when “movie night” happened, it meant popping a bowl of less than stellar popcorn, sitting on the couch, and watching a movie. Now it can be so much more.

Instead of just going to see the movie, why not make an entire day or night of it! Plan your entire day around the movie by doing activities and eating festive food before you even go to see the movie!

When we saw that the new Fantastic Beasts movie was about to hit the theatres, all I could think of was Hogwarts and Harry Potter themed fun! Dress up as your favorite characters and spend a day in the wizarding world for a while before you hit the theatre.

Fantastic Beasts is all about the use of magic and magical creatures. Which makes coming up with ideas for fun activities a breeze! Don’t go overboard on the activities, but find a few things for your kids to do such as a craft before they see the movie to get them excited about it.

If you will be waiting in a long line or arriving at the theatre early to secure a seat, consider bringing a printable activity for your kids to do to keep them entertained until the movie starts.

Make a Movie-themed Fantastic Beasts Treat

This is great for movie nights at home, but can be fun even if you’re seeing a movie out!

Create your own Hogwarts themed recipes at home such as Butterbeer, pumpkin pasties, or any number of the other recipes from the Harry Potter movies. If you want to really get into the Fantastic beasts mood, consider making Apple Strudel or Baked Nifflers from the movie!

Have a movie marathon

If you are watching a sequel, prequel, or a movie in a series, it can be fun to have a movie marathon instead of just watching the one movie. Sometimes it may be years since the last movie came out, and doing a little refresher never hurts!
