Initially, I was planning on sharing 5 Natural ways to increase concentration and focus. However, I just had to get a sixth idea that I love. I hope you can try a few of these ideas out with your children and they work wonders for you.
Take Into Consideration Maturity Level
Before doing any natural remedies to increase concentration and focus for kids, you must take the age and maturity level of your child into consideration. Many younger kids aren’t yet equipped with the brain power to focus on long tasks. These younger kids will benefit from short tasks and workload to ensure that they can concentrate. Setting expectations based on maturity level will naturally help increase your child’s focus and concentration because you’re keeping things realistic.
Children under 3 should not be expected to sit for longer than 15 minutes on an activity or one task. As children get a little older, they can stretch it a little longer. Keep in mind that children naturally do better if they can move around, take breaks, and be active.
Be Physically Close
Kids tend to do better when their parents give them more attention. This doesn’t mean that you have stand over your child as you try to get them to concentrate and focus. Being physically close to your kids as they work on tasks that they may not enjoy will help encourage your children to focus on the task at hand to complete it. Having a parent that is available for help or just as security keeps children calm and helps them focus easier.
Play Memory Games
When you play games that help enhance the use of concentration and focus skills within your kids’ brain. You are working to naturally increase their ability to focus on other tasks in the future. There are many board games that help with concentration. You can buy memory games or even use a deck of playing cards. Have your cards set out on the table in rows, upside down. Take turns turning two cards over at a time; each player will either make a match or have to remember where those cards are for a possible future match.
Have a Sleep Routine
When human beings don’t sleep enough, their attention spans are shorter, and in turn, the ability to concentrate gets diminished. This holds true for kids and adults. If you want a sure fire way to increase concentration and focus for kids, then make sure that they have a steady sleep routine. It is extremely helpful for children to have a bedtime routine. Take into consideration the age and sleep hours recommended for your children to know how to properly set your kid’s sleep routine. This will surely help boost concentration and focus without a lot of extra effort.

We are huge fans of essential oils. They have changed our lives for the better and we’ve seen a huge increase in ways that they help our family’s health naturally. We sleep better, are more relaxed, and more motivated when we want to be. Diffusing and using the right essential oils can be very beneficial and really help yours and your child’s needs.
I recommend learning about essential oils and ways to use them before you start using them. Our favorite ways to use them is to diffuse them around the house and to make up a very small amount with a carrier oil to dab on the back of your neck or bottoms of your feet.
Avoid Overscheduling
Lastly, be sure that your child isn’t overscheduled. Often time’s kids lack the full level of concentration and focus needed because they’re simply doing too many things in a day. You will know what your kids limit is best, try to take that into consideration before giving your children tasks that may require extra focus and attention. Every child is different in their ability to handle more or fewer tasks at a time, so I can’t tell you what overscheduling looks like in your family.
