How to Make the Best Homemade Play Dough Recipes

I made this for my guy tonight and it smells SO GOOD! It came out dry though. Would you recommend adding more oil, or more water maybe to make it more doughy and less crumbly?
Really? That is surprising. Definitely add a little water if it seems dry. I would just add a little at a time (you don’t want it sticky 😉 Enjoy!
I can’t wait to try this! Does it need to be refrigerated?
Yay! We love it! No it does not – Just store it in an air tight container or bag.
Hi there. Made these with my group today and found that it was really sticky and not kneading. Are you sure its 2 cups of flour and not 4? Other than that, its great! Love the scent!
It’s definitely 2 cups of flour, but I know some people try to skip the Cream of Tartar and if that is the case the whole recipe changes. Not saying you did just sharing that info 🙂 We make homemade play dough all the time and I always start with the 2 cups. In the future if it seems a little sticky try adding a Tablespoon of flour at a time and kneading it till it gets to your liking. I hope that helps. I’m so glad you loved it.
