What I love about this unicorn activity is that it’s super kid-friendly. It is great for preschoolers to build confidence and work on their fine motor skills.

How to Make this Rainbow Unicorn Paper Plate Craft

Gather up the supplies needed to get started:

Unicorn Craft

This Rainbow Unicorn Paper Plate Craft is so much fun to make! It's the perfect preschool activity, use it for a spring craft during a Rainbow theme! Add Unicorn Activities and Unicorn Crafts for Kids to your preschool crafts, unicorn themed party, or just for fun.

Cut colorful paper into 1 inch strips approximately 4 inches long. (You will need about 14 strips.) These will be the mane.

With one sheet of colored paper, cut a large heart shape. This will be the muzzle.

Paper Plate Craft

From the yellow paper, cut a horn shape.

With the white paper, fold in half and cut an ear shape, creating two identical ears.

Begin by attaching the horn to the FRONT of the paper plate using glue or a stapler.

Flip the paper plate and attach the colored paper strips for the mane using glue. Allow it to dry completely before continuing.

Ingredients
  • Paper plate
  • Colored cardstock paper or construction paper
  • White cardstock or construction paper
  • Yellow cardstock or construction paper
  • Self-adhesive heart stickers
  • Wiggly eyes

  • Quick dry tacky glue or school glue
  • Stapler, optional
  • Black permanent marker
Instructions
