I have a child that loves his screen time. Some days he likes it a little too much and needs a reminder that life doesn’t revolve around the IPad. If this sounds familiar to you, these Screen Time Rules work perfectly. Life is all about balance, and that is something that I think most of us can use a little help with from time to time.

Of course, there are multiple levels of screen time users. We have the totally obsessed never want to put it down. That’s pretty much where my Little B comes in.
We have the average usage – The rest of my boys fall into this group. They use IPads and laptops occasionally. They would much rather play outside but enjoy a Video or Minecraft game too.
Then we have children like my Bells who never even think about electronics.
There might be another level in between normal usage and obsessed, but I guess that’s a matter of opinion. That is also why I created this easy to use Summer Rules for Kids and Screen Time Rules.

You can have your children do everything on the list before they get to use electronics or maybe just one or two things on the list. If you laminate the rules, it is easy for you to use a dry erase marker and cross off what they need to do. They can also check off what they have done.
