How to Make Thumbprint and Fingerprint Ocean Animals
Fish Instructions:
Make a horizontal (sideways) thumbprint in the color of your choice.
Add a squiggly fin to the top.
Add a squiggly fin to the bottom.
Add a larger fin to the back.
Draw an eye and a smile.
Add small ‘<’ shapes for fins on the side.
Fingerprint Animal Pictures
Crab Instructions:
Make a horizontal thumbprint. This is your crab’s body.
Using a red Sharpie, make four lines – two on each side of the body.
Add six legs.
On top of the crab’s body, draw two lines.
At the end of the two lines, you just drew, add circles. These will be the crab’s eyes.
Draw the dots for the eyeballs.
Using your pointer finger, make two red fingerprints, one on each side, on the two lines you drew in step 2.
Add a smile to your crab.
Thumbprint Animal Pictures
Jellyfish Instructions:
Choose your colors of ink.
Make a horizontal thumbprint.
Add your face – two eyes and a smile.
Draw a few lines coming off the thumbprint.
In between the lines, draw squiggle lines.
Fingerprint Art Animals
Octopus Instructions:
Begin with a vertical thumbprint. This is the octopus’s head.
Draw eight tentacles coming off of the octopus.
Add two big eyes.
Draw a smile.
Thumbprint Ocean Animals
Turtle Instructions:
Make a green thumbprint.
Using a green sharpie, draw a green circle attached to the top of the thumbprint.
Draw the front two legs. The front legs should be larger than the back legs.
Draw the back two legs. Add a small pointy tail.
Make your face on the turtle.
Add six blob shapes to the shell.
Using only your fingers, a marker, and an ink pad, you and your children, can create amazing little works of art. Children and adults enjoy making thumbprint and fingerprint animals.
