How to Make Snow Cloud Dough
- 10 cups of flour (we used 2 5lb bags)
- 1 cup of oil (vegetable, baby oil or coconut oil all work well)
- Winter themed items of choice
- A sensory bin to play in (we used a plastic storage bin)
Place the flour in the sensory bin.
Add 6oz of oil and stir well.
Once the liquid is gone, use your hands to massage the flour and oil mixture until completely mixed together.
Now you have fun moon sand or cloud dough that acts as your “snow.”

Your child can write with small twigs and branches. They can draw pictures, use rocks to bury and build with, squish the snow dough in their hands, and have hours of fun enjoying this nature sensory activity.
