DIY Soap Dough Recipe

easy homemade soap dough recipe for kids

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Organic Castile Liquid Soap I make homemade Castile soap too - recipe coming soon
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • A few drops of color - We used Washable Liquid Watercolor paints because I try to use washable with kids and I like the vibrant colors. You can also use food coloring.
  • Optional 2 Tablespoons Oil Glycerine Vegetable, Coconut, Almond, other
  • Optional 2-4 drops of essential oils I added in Carrot Seed Oil because of all of the great benefits for your skin
Instructions
  1. Pour the cornstarch into a bowl
  2. In a separate bowl add Castile soap, water, color (optional essential oils) and mix.
  3. Pour your liquid into the bowl with cornstarch and mix.
  4. Add optional oil and knead the soap dough so it's well blended.
  5. *The soap dough should feel soft and squishy but not wet or sticky. If you feel like it is too wet just add a pinch or two of cornstarch.
