Cut a heart out of the middle of each paper plate. Make sure you leave about a half inch around the heart on the flat part of the plate. I cut my first heart out of one plate and used that as a template on my second plate.
-
Now, take the hole punch and punch holes around the entire heart. Only leave a tiny space in between each hole, so that you will have a lot of holes.
-
Take a very long piece of yarn, mine was about 3-4 yards because I didn’t want to run out part way through. With the plate's, right side up put one end of the yarn through a hole and tape it to the back side of the plate.
-
Take the other end of the yarn and start threading it through the holes back and forth. You can do it in a pattern or just anywhere, as long as you make sure you go through each hole one time.
-
Once you’ve gone through every hole, finish with the yarn going through a hole to the back of the plate, tape it, and trim off any excess yarn.
