Letter U Craft for Preschoolers

After gathering all of the supplies, you are ready to go. Start by downloading the letter U template. Printing it out onto cardstock will be best, so it lasts longer, but regular paper will work.

Cut out the letter U and trace it onto the craft foam or construction paper. Next, cut the letter out or if your child is old enough have them cut their letter u out.

Download and print the Unicorn template out onto cardstock. Cut out the complete Unicorn to use for your template. Now, trace the Unicorn template onto your craft foam or construction paper. This is another step that is great for older children or children that are working on tracing skills.

Cut the unicorn out, so it’s ready to be assembled by your child.

Your child can glue the hair, horn, and a googly eye onto their unicorn. They can also glue a pink piece for the ear if you want to add that and to finish it up they can use a marker to add a black dot on the nose.

Supplies:

Craft Foam or Construction Paper

Glue (white school glue)
Scissors
Black Marker
Paper or Cardstock
Googly Eyes

Directions:

1. After gathering all of the supplies, you will first download the letter U template and print onto paper or cardstock.
2. Cut out the letter U and trace onto the craft foam. Cut the letter out.
3. Download and print the Unicorn template. Cut out.
4. Trace the Unicorn template onto craft foam. Cut out.
5. Glue the hair and horn onto the unicorn.
6. Glue the pink piece of the ear onto the unicorn.
7. Glue on a googly eye.
8. Use a black marker to add detail.
9. Glue the unicorn onto the letter U
