Pour enough milk onto a deep plate or pie pan so it’s about ½ inch deep.

Place drops of red and green food coloring on top of the milk.

Dip a q-tip into the dish soap and gently touch the drops of food coloring and

watch it spread.

Another fun thing to do is place a cookie cutter in the middle of the plate and

place food coloring drops around it and watch how the color doesn’t get in once

it’s touched with the dish soap.

*When the dish soap touches the milk, it causes the fat and water in the milk to

spread and separate.
