Homemade Rainbow Soap Foam for Kids

Ingredients
  • clear dish soap
  • non toxic glitter watercolor
Instructions
  1. To make the foam you will want to whip 2 parts water with 1 part clear dish soap.
  2. For this exact project we used only 4 tablespoons of water with 2 tablespoons of dish soap per color-and that made about 7 cups of bubbles!
  3. I added 1 teaspoon of Sax non toxic glitter watercolor at the same time as adding the water and soap.

  4. Because this is such a small volume of liquid to start with, many stand mixers will have a harder time starting the bubble making process.

  5. A super easy and quick fix for this is to simply whisk the mixture by hand for the first 5 to 10 seconds. This should generate more than enough bubbles to have the mixer then take over and create a voluminous rainbow of bubbles.
Recipe Notes

Tips:
Mix one color at a time.
A mixer will work better than a blender.
Food coloring can also be used, keep in mind that both paint and or food coloring could stain clothing or surfaces. This did not happen with the exact Sax watercolors paints that we used.
The longer you whip the bubbles, the longer they will last for!
