Salt Painting is a fun way to combine art and science together.
Salt painting is a fun process art activity to do with kids. Whether it’s Pumpkin Salt Painting for a fall theme or Christmas painting for kids during winter, raised salt painting is exciting and even works your kid’s fine motor skills.

What you will need to make your Salt Painting is in this picture below. However, I have it displayed in list form to print out towards the bottom of the page. Enjoy!
Watercolor Salt Painting for Kids
Start by drawing a picture of a pumpkin on the piece of paper.
Squeeze glue on the white lines of the pumpkin picture you drew.
Now sprinkle a good coat of salt over all the glue making sure it is coated well. Then shake off the excess.
Wet your paintbrush with water then dip it into the paint and lightly brush onto the salt. You can also gently tap it on as well.
Halloween Watercolor Painting
Let this sit and dry for a few hours. You can also give your pumpkin a face and make this a salt painted Jack O Lantern if you want. Have fun!
